Yes, this is your opinion but you must support your decision using facts.  Support your choice through comparison to other programs in scope and cost or lasting impact.

The Warren Commission "The Real Report"

Select a group of detectives that will assist in hunting down JFK's true assassin. Your assignment is to come up with a suspect list (5-10 individuals or groups) with motive to off Kennedy. If you name someone you must provide enough evidence to establish motive and means. The group with the best (most creative and logical) conspiracy theory wins!

LBJ Biography

Read page 724 ("Johnson's Leadership Style" and "A War on Poverty") Create a list of 10 adjectives to describe Johnson. (Remember boys and girls that an adjective is a word that describes something such as...sarcastic or condescending).

Next, write a brief 1 paragraph bio, using as many of the adjectives you came up with as you can, to explain why Johnson was so concerned about poverty. (what was his upbringing and previous job?)

Story Board - Warren Court

Examine the chart on page 709. Choose one case from the Civil Rights section and on from Due Process. Research the facts of the case and create a story board (comic strip) explaining the facts, rule of law, and impact the decision has had on society.

Kennedy and the Cold War

Read pages 717 and 718 of the text. Next choose to answer two (2) of the following:

1. Write an OpEd piece for a newspaper about the Bay of Pigs invasion, but do it from the perspective a member of La Brigada.

2. Create a political cartoon on the creation of the Berlin Wall

3. Write a story (satire, children's) on the Cuban Missile Crisis from the perspective of an A-Bomb

(i.e. As people traveled more on the interstate system, they increasingly sought out familiar franchises such as motel 6 or McDonald's)
